The AtlanTec Conference was held on Friday, May 15th, in GMIT, Galway. A one day technical conference bringing together world-class speakers and practitioners from within the software industry, including Kevlin Henny, John Jagger, Dave Farley, Giovanni Asproni and Galway’s own John McGuire. The goal of the conference was to empower software developers by facilitating the spread of knowledge and innovation in the developer community. Without a doubt the goals of the first year were achieved.
The event consisted of a series of technical presentations from world class speakers followed by a panel debate on the key topics. With opportunities to meet with and pick the brains of some of the key thought leaders helped shape the software development industry in the West of Ireland.
With over 200 attendees from the West and Mid West’s ICT sector. The attendees represented over 96 IT companies and over 6,000 IT professionals.
The inaugural conference was made possible by the generous support of ITAG Skillnet, Cisco, Avaya, GMIT, NUI Galway, Storm, ICECube, CPL, Clearbookings, to name but a few.
